Q:
How can you make a crown in a single appointment ?
A: There are new products available to dentistry that allow us to prepare, impression, fabricate, try-in and bond to place a restoration all in on appointment. We have a dental lab on premises and using these new materials we are able to provide these exceptional single appointment restorations for you. You wont have to be numbed up twice, will only miss work or have to be away from home 1 time, we can control color and contour better, we don't have to remove as much tooth structure and you wont have to wear a temporary restoration.

Q: Do you take my dental insurance?
A: We treat all patients regardless of their type of dental insurance. I believe ideal dentistry is predicated on a solid Doctor Patient relationship and want you to know that what we (you and I ) decide is the ideal treatment for you is in your best interest and shouldn't be decided by insurance limitations. I promise you this, my staff and I will work with you to get the maximum amounts of benefits your insurance provides for these procedures. If you are in a closed panel group (you have to go to a company authorized Dentist) please remember that a large number of the types of procedures we are providing in cosmetic Dentistry are not covered by insurance anyways. We will work with you to find comfortable financial alternatives to allow you to have your desired treatment completed so you can have the smile you always wanted.

Q: I'm interested in changing my smile but how can I better see how my final result will look?
A: For those patients where it is appropriate we can do a procedure called "cosmetic preview". This technique allows you to preview what your smile could look like after a cosmetic procedure. We can do this for many different situations so that you can decide if the results are worth the investment of your time and money. Using composites (plastic type filling materials) we paint or coat your teeth and allow you to see how nice your smile can be. When we are done, we can simply "flick" the plastic off so you can compare the before and after.

Q: What are veneers?
A: Veneers are like acrylic finger nails only better. Instead of acrylic being glued to your nail, composite or porcelain is bonded (very technique sensitive high tech glue) to your teeth. Depending on your needs, we can place these veneers to reshape your teeth to a more ideal form contour or color. This procedure can give you the gorgeous smile you have been looking for.

Q: I have frequent morning headaches and tense muscles in my neck and shoulders, is there anything that can be done to give me some relief.
A: There are multiple causes to these types of symptoms, however, after a thorough examination we can decide if there is a treatment in dentistry that will help relieve these symptoms. There is a new treatment that uses an anticlenching appliance that is worn at night. This appliance reduces the amount and intensity of clenching that a person frequently experiences during periods of sleep in response to daytime stress. This clenching has been shown to create headaches and muscle tension that can actually lead to episodes of migraine headaches.

Q: If I like the shape and arrangement of my teeth but dislike the color, how can I get my teeth whiter and brighter.
A: We have procedures in dentistry for tooth whitening that can be used in many situations depending on the intensity of the color change that you want to accomplish. The most common procedure is home whitening with a custom mouthguard type tray and a special whitening solution. This procedure is generally accomplished over a period of two to three weeks of wearing the solution filled tray at night. Another method frequently used is accomplished in a single visit to the Dental office utilizing a solution that is heated slightly to intensify the whitening process. Depending on your specific requirements we can help you decide if these non invasive procedures will help you attain the color change you are envisioning.
